This is where I’m supposed to live

This is where I’m supposed to live

This was the view we had from our lounge chairs alongside the negative-edge pool at the resort in Mexico where we stayed last spring … and I assure you, the edge of that pool was the only thing about that vacation to which the word “negative” can be applied.

I had planned to tell you all about our trip right after we returned … but my entire universe kept blowing up in new and exciting ways during the months that followed, which left me with very little time to reflect upon the one truly bright spot in an otherwise craptastic year. Now that the holidays are over, however, and the winter doldrums have begun to descend upon us, I am more than ready to immerse myself in memories of the days we spent enjoying the very view you see above.

Story coming soon…

    Jon,

As soon as I saw the e-mail, I thought of you. You really need to see this:

Look for the post titled “A few days late, but…”

I looked all over your site to see how to contact you, but apparently this is the only way. And, your Sparklin’ picture was fabulous.

Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you . . .

Once, many years ago, I was lounging by a pool on the Costa del Sol, reading a Jimmy Buffet book about South Florida and saying to The Spouse, “We really need to live in the Caribbean!” and lo and behold! We did end up living in Florida from 1994-1998. At the time we had a red Jeep Wrangler, a black lab mix, and no children. It was wonderful.

I love that picture – especially when I look out my window and see snow flurries. AGAIN! I live in the South dammit! One snow a season is fine – I don’t need any more.

It’s hard to wrap my head around how the same ‘creator’ who came up with Wisconsin also put together Mexico.

Share a few highlights please! Especially ones that involve tequila. Paint a beautiful picture to get us all through winter.

P.S. Craptastic is my new favorite word.

I will never believe places like that actually exist until I get to see them in person. Glad you had at least one bright spot in 2010!

A name. All I need is the name of the resort. Forget a whole post, just the name! I must go there, it is calling my name.
